Value Stream Mapping (VSM) - How to use it, tools used to create Value Stream Maps and an example of the practical application of VSM
VSM is a six-sigma tool that helps visualize the steps needed to take from product creation to delivering it to the end-customer. It enables us to see the flow and eliminate sources of waste by implementing lean concepts and techniques throughout the entire value stream. Although VSM is often associated with manufacturing, it is also used in logistics, supply chain, service-related industries, healthcare, software development, product development and administrative and office processes.
