Event Title: Cost of Quality

Cost of Quality ( COQ) is at the outset is NOT the right measure of Quality as then quality is viewed as a cost and that gets into the psyche of Sr Mgt & they treat it as a cost center and there by giving scant attention and the spiral begins downwards.
 
The Quality Head (if you have one at all!) is  constantly asked “How do I get management support for my cost of quality initiative?” We know that a lack of quality creates both waste and significant other side effects yet we often fail to link the impact of these issues to the ability of an organization to achieve its desired business goals and objectives.

The Cost of Quality that we talk about comprises all of the costs relating to compliance and noncompliance.

In this talk we shall go over the various aspects & components  of COQ, discuss why it is important, introduce COPQ, compare with some actual figures from SW industry and learn from each other how the COQ journey is faring now. We will ask discuss learnings if any from past initiatives in your organisations and suggest some roadmap ahead.
