ASQ Calgary Blog: Post a Blog Entry
Use the entry form below to post your entry. Please note that all registered users are eligible to post entries in our blog. All blog entries are eligible to win prizes in our ASQ Calgary Blog Competition.
Key things to remember when posting your blog entry:
- Web content should have 50% of the word count of its paper equivalent.
- Use simple sentence structure with short, informative titles and subheadings.
- Highlight keywords with bold or italic text using the buttons above. However, use this sparingly.
- Use bulleted lists and subheadings, in this case the h3 subheading works well (see below).
- Start with the conclusion to improve scannability.
- Use caption boxes to highlight important posting text (the blockquote button below will highlight text in a blue box which the other text in your posting will wrap around).
- Use hyperlinks to provide supplemental information like definitions of terms and abbreviations, reference information, and background reading. Rather than wrapping "click here" in a hyperlink, wrap a description of the information to be found in the link instead.
