ASQ Calgary Events: SQDG
The Software Quality Discussion Group (SQDG) is a joint IEEE/ASQ industry led peer support discussion group for software quality. The group is a forum for the discussion of all aspects of Software Quality and meets once per month, on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, from September through May. We meet over the lunch hour. The sessions are free but advance registration by RSVP is required.
The discussion group is informal in the sense that membership, in any way, shape or form, is not required; there are no fees involved. Our participants are, for the most part, senior practitioners of broad and varied experience and skills. They also represent many industries, not all of which are directly involved in the production of software or software related artifacts. Roughly, and on average, the people attending our sessions may be categorized evenly between project, program and quality management; testing and quality assurance; and architects, designers and developers of software and systems. Overall, our participants are practical people, looking for practical answers to real-world problems. We are pragmatists; not true believers.
