Welcome to ASQ Calgary’s New Website
ASQ Calgary has a new website to help serve South Alberta's Quality community better. This website is geared towards building robust and active Southern Alberta Quality community relationships. It is our hope that members and non-members alike will utilize the website to connect with each other and share their quality expertise.
Welcome to ASQ Calgary's new website. The intention of our new website is to offer features that help to build connections amongst the Southern Alberta Quality community. ASQ Calgary believes that the features we've chosen to include will allow Quality professionals in Southern Alberta to share their expertise with each other, as will as help to build networking relationships amongst ASQ Calgary members and non-members alike.
The new website features:
The events section lists upcoming and past ASQ Calgary events. ASQ Calgary holds a number of events throughout its season. These events include: dinner meetings, plant tours, Quality discussion groups, and Software Quality discussion groups. If you are new to ASQ Calgary, feel free to browse our past events to gain an understanding of the events organized by ASQ Calgary. Browse our upcoming events to locate an event you'd be interested in attending. Please note that you do not have to be a member of ASQ Calgary to attend the majority of our events and many events are free of charge.
New to this website is the ability to RSVP for upcoming events directly on the event page, as well as the ability to add comments to events. If you have attended an event and want to comment on it, you can do that on the event page. This allows you and other event attendees to continue the discussion after the event has ended. ASQ Calgary will also be posting event wrap-ups and event pictures from time to time. Also new to this website is the ability to subscribe to our event RSS feed.
The blog section is completely new to the ASQ Calgary site. The blog is intended for initiating discussion amongst the community. Anyone in the Quality community can participate and post a blog entry. The only requirement is that you register as a member of this site (free). Blog entries are typically short (250-400 words) and informative. They can be on any number of topics that you believe would be of interest to the Southern Alberta Quality community. Suggestions for topics include: Six Sigma, Lean, Cost of Quality, Quality Statistics, Quality Training, Quality Tools, etc. Once an entry has been posted, others visiting the site and reading the entry can make comments on it. In this way, a discussion can take place.
ASQ Calgary is sponsoring a blog competition in order to accelerate participation in our blog. You don't need to be a member of ASQ Calgary to participate and winning entries receive prizes. For more information on our blog competition, click here. Why not test your writing ability by submitting an entry? For inspiration, please take a look at the blogs on ASQ's site.
The jobs section posts quality related jobs in the Calgary area. If you are an employer in Calgary looking for someone to fill a Quality-related position, post the job ad on the ASQ Calgary site. Posting the add is free and targeted to Quality professionals. We also provide a listing of job posting RSS feeds in which the job posting title contains the word Quality.
