Blog and Comment Posting Guidelines
ASQ Calgary believes in fostering a thriving online Quality community. We believe that blogging is a valuable tool in our efforts to promote and advance quality concepts within Southern Alberta.
Therefore, ASQ Calgary enables you to submit posts via our website www.asqcalgary.org, subject to the guidelines set forth below (note, these guidelines my be updated from time to time without providing notice to you).
Posting Blog Entries and Comments
- It is important to understand that any views you post are your own and unless specifically stated are not those of ASQ Calgary.
- ASQ Calgary is not responsible for the content of any external sites you may link to or reference within your post.
- ASQ Calgary reserves the right to pre-screen, edit, and remove any post as it deems appropriate. You specifically acknowledge that ASQ Calgary has no obligation to display any post submitted.
- Please ensure your blog postings and comments are civil, tasteful and relevant. Therefore:
- No Flaming. Unlawful, harassing, defamatory, abusive, threatening, harmful, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, racially offensive or otherwise objectionable comments are not acceptable.
- No Swearing.
- No Spamming or Flooding. Don’t post the same comment to more than one conversation or more than once.
- No Impersonation. Adopting an inappropriate user name (one that is vulgar, offensive, etc.) is also unacceptable.
- Only Include Suitable URL’s. Links to websites we consider unsuitable will be removed. If you are considering including a URL, please make sure that it adds value and interest to the subject of your blog post or comment. Unsuitable sites would include those with racist material, [censored] or sexually explicit materials, potentially defamatory material, anything which encourages illegal activities, or material which infringes copyright.
- When you choose to go public with your opinions via a blog, you are legally responsible for your commentary. Individual bloggers can be held personally liable for any commentary deemed to be defamatory, obscene, proprietary or libelous. For those reasons, bloggers should exercise caution with regards to exaggeration, colorful language, guesswork, obscenity, copyrighted materials, legal conclusions and derogatory remarks or characterizations. In essence, you blog (or post onto the blog of others) at your own risk. Outside parties can pursue legal action against you for such postings.
- Use caution when revealing information about yourself that may compromise your privacy and/or safety (such as your telephone number or home address).
- By contributing to our blog, you grant ASQ Calgary the worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive right to use, publicly display, edit, and distribute any post or any other information submitted, in any media now known or hereinafter developed.
ASQ Calgary reserves the right to delete any posting or account at any time for any reason.
If you think any content posted or provided in an ASQ Calgary blog posting violates the guidelines set forth below, or ASQ Calgary’s Terms and Conditions, then please alert (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
